Why Do Two People With the Same Injury Recover So Differently?

Your health is about more than a single symptom or diagnosis. Whether you're recovering from an injury, navigating menopause, preparing for surgery, or simply not feeling like yourself, there may be more to the story. At Valivera Health, Dr. Liz Dulaney-Cripe takes the time to understand the whole picture and builds a plan designed around you.

THE PROBLEM

You Know Your Body. You Know When Something Feels Off.

Maybe it's persistent joint or muscle pain. A slower recovery from exercise or injury. Changes in strength, energy, sleep, or body composition. Menopause symptoms. Or simply the sense that your body isn't responding the way it once did. These concerns rarely exist in isolation. Nutrition, sleep, stress, movement, hormones, and metabolic health all influence how the body feels and recovers. Understanding those connections is often the key to knowing what comes next.

THE VALIVERA APPROACH

Care That Looks at the Whole Picture

Dr. Liz's approach grew out of a question she kept encountering as an orthopedic surgeon: why can two people with the same injury experience very different recoveries? That question led her beyond the immediate diagnosis and into additional training in integrative medicine, lifestyle medicine, menopause care, and hormone health. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, she considers your history, symptoms, lifestyle, and goals to understand your story, identify what may be getting in the way, and build an evidence-based plan that fits your life.
