Personalized Healthcare That Looks at the Whole You

No two people have the same health history, goals, symptoms, or life experiences. Their healthcare shouldn't look the same either. At Valivera Health, I begin by listening and looking at the bigger picture. Rather than focusing on a single symptom or diagnosis, I consider how movement, nutrition, sleep, stress, hormones, metabolic health, bone and muscle health, medical history, and life transitions may be working together to influence how you feel. My approach brings together lifestyle medicine, integrative medicine, and conventional medical care to create personalized, evidence-based recommendations that support how you feel today while keeping your long-term health in mind.

The Valivera Method

Most healthcare starts with a symptom and ends with a prescription. The Valivera Method starts with your story. From there, I look at how different parts of your health connect, determine what actually needs attention first, and build a plan you can sustain, one that evolves as your health and goals do. No one can change twelve things at once and do them well, so I focus on what matters most and sequence the rest for lasting success.

YOUR STORY → THE BIGGER PICTURE → WHAT MATTERS NOW → YOUR PLAN → WHAT COMES NEXT

1. Your Story

We start by listening to what brought you here
.
I want to know why you actually came in, what's changed, what worries you, what you've already tried, and what you believe is happening. I ask about your health history and the events that shifted its course. Illness, surgery, pregnancy, perimenopause, menopause, even a change in job. I also ask what you've already tried, medically and through lifestyle changes. There's rarely a reason to reinvent the wheel; how your body has already responded tells me something important.

2. The Bigger Picture

We look at how your hormones, sleep, stress, and movement connect.
Symptoms rarely stay in their lane. I look for how hormones, nutrition, sleep, stress, and movement are influencing each other, rather than treating one symptom in isolation. Hormonal and lifestyle medicine are often the foundation. When existing labs or imaging can inform your plan, we use them. When something needs to be repeated or added, we do that too, but only what actually helps guide a decision, not testing for its own sake.

3. What Matters Now

We determine what's blocking progress,  and treat that first.

If someone is exhausted, unmotivated to exercise, sleeping poorly, and fasting because it's "the thing to do," I'm not going to tell them to move more or sleep more. Their body may be in survival mode because of how they're eating. So we address nutrition first, ease the sleep disruption, and only once the fatigue lifts do we intentionally build movement and strength. Other times, a lab reveals a hormonal or thyroid issue that no amount of good nutrition or exercise can outwork, so we treat that first. Without the right foundation, even the best long-term interventions don't hold. I don't believe you can inject or supplement your way out of poor health and expect it to last. I do believe that once the foundation is solid, there's real value in building on it.

4. Your Plan

We weigh the most effective option against the fewest risks.

When there's no medical or personal reason to rule something out, I lay out the options starting with what offers the most benefit for the least risk, and we decide together. Sometimes the lowest-risk option isn't likely to help. If you've tried everything conservative for hip arthritis with little relief, I'll tell you that an orthopedic surgical consultation may be the most effective next step. Other times, there's real room to delay surgery through movement, strength, and inflammation care first. Either way, you'll know which recommendations come from clinical guidelines and which reflect my judgment for your specific case,  and why.

5. What Comes Next

We adapt your plan as your health and goals evolve.

Some patients benefit from monthly check-ins while we fine-tune dosing or track labs over the next few months. Others need less frequent contact to fit their life. And some patients are already doing well with movement, sleep, and stress, and simply need targeted support for a specific issue, like regenerative treatment for joint discomfort. I think about your health in terms of the now, the next, and the later, so your plan keeps working even as your needs change.

What Guides My Approach

Behind every Valivera plan are a few simple principles:

Listen Before Labeling: I want to understand your experience before I assign it a name.

Understand Before Optimizing:I won't optimize what I haven't first taken the time to understand.

Evidence Over Trends: I stay curious about new approaches, but disciplined about what's actually proven.

Make Change Manageable: I look for interventions that improve more than one thing at once, so you're never asked to change everything all at once.
